FlICKSIX

This logo design for the photography company FlickSix came about naturally and intuitively. In photography, an f-stop is the ratio between focal length to the diameter of the entrance pupil – and these control the size of the aperture. In many photography logos, aperture graphics are typically used, and thus it was important for me to stay away from that. I decided to take the f in f-stop, and FlickSix, and turn it into the top of the camera where the flash and viewfinder are located. The stem of f proceeds to the body of the camera and into the circle lens, and it is these two parts which form the number 6.
